Após a repercussão, Wallace se retratou.
"Quem me conhece sabe que eu jamais incitaria violência em hipótese alguma, principalmente ao nosso Presidente. Então, venho aqui pedir desculpas, foi um post infeliz que eu acabei fazendo. Errei", escreveu o atleta.
De acordo com o ge.com, o Cruzeiro, clube de Wallace, afastou o jogador no fim da tarde desta terça.
Planalto aciona a AGU
O ministro da Secretaria de Comunicação Social, Paulo Pimenta, afirmou em uma rede social que acionou a Advocacia-Geral da União (AGU) para tomar providências sobre o post de Wallace.
"Esta postagem foi feita pelo jogador de vôlei do Cruzeiro, e ex-atleta da seleção brasileira, Wallace Leandro em seu Instagram. Já acionei a AGU e vamos tomar todas as providências necessárias. Não vamos tolerar ameaças feitas por extremistas e golpistas!", escreveu Pimenta.
